Mauro Perez leads new Information Technology (IT) services

Signature Automation is proud to announce that Mauro Perez joined the firm on April 19, 2021 as Information Technology (IT) Director, a new position responsible for both corporate IT and security management as well as consulting with clients for IT infrastructure design and networking services. He has experience assisting a variety of municipal, industrial, and private clients in the U.S. and around the world throughout his career, including police and fire stations, professional offices (eg, physicians, attorneys, banking and finance) and industrial facilities (eg, oil & gas production, meat processing facilities, equipment manufacturers).

Mr. Perez is a long-standing partner for Signature Automation and our founders, having collaborated on numerous projects to support cybersecurity and enterprise network planning since the foundation of our firm and while employed at previous companies. Furthermore, he has been supporting Signature Automation’s IT needs on a contracted basis prior to accepting this position. We are excited to bring his expertise on board as a permanent member of the team to enhance our design and cybersecurity services to include information technology (IT) in addition to the operations technology (OT) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) programs we have traditionally served.

Select highlights of Mauro’s project experience include:

  • City-wide Wireless Wide Area Network (WAN) design and implementation for the City of Houston water and wastewater facilities
  • Department-wide IP addressing scheme to standardize and support future growth for all water and wastewater plants within Dallas Water Utilities
  • Data Center architecture and implementation of LAN/WAN secure network services and firewall solutions for several global financial locations
  • Satellite network implementation for 50+ oil exploration platforms in the Gulf of Mexico
  • Disaster recovery and business continuity planning for numerous private firms in the Houston area which were successfully implemented during hurricane-related outages
